Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

TradersCompanion is an online trading journal and performance analytics platform operated by Jaimy Mathon, based in the Netherlands ("TradersCompanion", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our service at traderscompanion.org or www.traderscompanion.org, you agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

TradersCompanion provides traders with tools to import, record, and analyse their trading activity. Features include trade import via CSV, manual trade entry, performance dashboards, trade journals, a trading calendar, goal tracking, backtesting, and strategy comparison.

TradersCompanion is not a brokerage, investment firm, or financial advisor. Nothing on our platform constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument. All content is for informational and educational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering. Using fake identities or impersonating others is prohibited.
• You may only maintain one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is not allowed.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected.
• All prices displayed are in EUR and exclude VAT where applicable.
• Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your payment card details.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
• Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
• We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all trade data, notes, journal entries, and files you create or upload to TradersCompanion. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any data you import or upload does not violate applicable law or the rights of third parties.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform.
• Use automated scrapers, bots, or scripts against the service without written permission.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or anything intended to disrupt or damage the service.
• Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the service without written authorisation.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content that form part of TradersCompanion (excluding your own user content) are the intellectual property of TradersCompanion / Jaimy Mathon. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We are not responsible for any losses arising from your use of the service or your trading activity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, TradersCompanion and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or trading losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or otherwise harm the service or other users.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
